You do not knock down a structurally sound building to construct an overpriced one. You don't design a drainage system to deposit water into an oil spill area at a close proximity to wetlands that flow into drinking water sources. You don't build a new school to educate less students than the one being proposed to be torn down. You don't spend $82 million dollars to get fake stone for a facade. DISASTER !!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the men and woman in town who have submitted the appeal will come to the meeting, and maybe they and the town can workout the remaining issues that concern them, and we all can move forward. The youth of wilmington will be the ones who lose out if we don't get on the same page and get this done.

How do you work out a disaster when the town wants to leave a massive oil spill on site and then drain water in to it and on the perimeter of it? The youth will someday be adults that have to pay for this disaster and irresponsible plan. It seems that a significant amount of people don't care how much the cost skyrockets. What is wrong with keeping a structurally sound building that can generate revenue? what is wrong with holding hearings on a regional school with North Reading. Students travel a fair distance to Shawsheen Tech and that is further than a site that can be sited for a regional school.

Kevin - a regional school with North Reading? Did you read that in a fortune cookie or something??? Why would Wilmington want to regionalize with any surrounding town. We have enough population in our own town to have our own schools. Why would we want to be subject to the financial decisions of another town and its leadership other than our own? I am fine with the way things are and I have NO doubt many others are too! Another Mac-Insanity Master Plan....why don't we regionalize with Taunton or Warwick, RI because I like those names and they came in the little surprise I got in my Cracker Jack Box this morning???

Are you learning your abc's at the little red school house?

Is that a joke Kevin? Was that supposed to be funny? Once again, making no sense. Starting to feel bad for you actually, never realized until this week how many people think you are crazy and down right negative. I hope you get over all that troubles you son. It's unfortunate. I can understand if you struggled in school, didn't have a lot of friends, kids stole your lunch money or whatever, but to live life with such hatred isn't what your parents had planned for you I am sure. I hope your life gets better even for a brass old man like me I can admit when someone needs a little help, I hope you get it.

North Reading has approved a new middle-highschool. So i doubt hey would want to do anyting with wilmington when they can have their own school. Maybe Kevin can go to north reading and bitch and complain about their school has well. It was a shame i had to work today unlike Kevin. I would have loved to watch him make a fool out of himself this morning, but there is always monday night.

Just picked myself up a copy of the Town Crier ..... amazing how George Lingenfelter is so nice to the Town Manager and the Selectmen during Monday night meetings and he is killing them with comments in the Town Crier. Previously in the Town Crier George wrote that the Selectmen should be "embarrassed" and this week he writes they are "ignorant" and the Town Manager is "RAMING" in caps the high school project through the public process. Funny how the last meeting, which I watched the re-run this week, when good old Georgie says "I just throw this out there for your consideration, I don't really have a question like a little puppy dog" ...like he is trying to help these guys...yeah right! Funny how when the appeal was brought up in the end of the meeting by Newhouse all you heard in the audience were crickets, but now you have out a letter in the Town Crier. You have no guts George in person because you know the Board will eat you alive and dress you down so fast your blue fence will fall down!

Wayne, You are right on. These self righteous wannabes are becoming a real joke. They sit in front of their computers and bi&^%h and complain about EVERYTHING that this town does or wants to do. If you disagree with them you are a hater or a idiot, and it's alright if they call you or I names but God forbid if we even mention them by name. It's about time these people go somewhere else and start a town of their own. Kevin can be the president, Georgie can be the legal counsel, Suzanne and Martha can be the co vice presidents, after all they are the smartest of the bunch, just ask them. And Karl can be...well let's just say Karl can be...he can be.. a.definatly not the treasurer he can be the sheriff, after all he already has the hat.
