Boards Announce Joint Meeting on School Project

School Committee and Board of Selectmen will meet together on Monday to discuss school progress and impact of the latest appeal.

With the status of construction up in the air after the , a pair of boards announced on Tuesday they will hold a joint meeting to update the public on where the project stands.

Wilmington's Board of Selectmen and School Committee will meet together on Monday at 7:45 p.m. in the , according to a press release sent out on Tuesday afternoon.

"This is an important opportunity for concerned residents to get a first hand explanation of the appeals process, and what is at stake for the town," said Board of Selectmen Chairman Michael Newhouse. "We encourage interested residents to attend the meeting."

According to the press release, officials will update the public on the High School Building Committee's design development and overall progress. Members of the architecutral and project management team will join attorney Dan Deutsch and representatives of Nitsch Engineering to discuss the appeal of the to the .

"This meeting will provide an opportunity for us to update the residents about the progress we have made, and to share some of the design details that have been incorporated into the project over the last few months," said School Committee Chairman Peggy Kane.
