Window Smashed, Items Stolen From Main Street Business

The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Monday, April 21, to Tuesday, April 22.

Monday, April 21

  • At 9:55 a.m. a caller on Kilby Street reported a sinkhole at the end of their driveway. The Water Department was notified of the sinkhole.
  • At 2:44 p.m. a resident from Bridge Lane reported a group of five or six youths on the tracks. The youths were gone on police arrival.
  • At 9:19 p.m. an intoxicated man was being violent towards family members on Oakdale Road. Police arrested, Donald B. Holbert, Jr., 23, of 22 Oakdale Road, Wilmington and charged him with assault and battery.

Tuesday, April 22

  • At 12:42 a.m. a front door and glass break alarm was going off at a Main Street business. Police found an attempt had been made to enter the front door. The window had been smashed but no one was inside. Packages of cigarettes were taken along with some hardware likely intended for drug activity.
  • At 6:06 a.m. police arrested Michael P. Infantino, 56, of 159 Main Street, Wilmington, on an outstanding warrant.
  • At 6:33 p.m. two men with backpacks were found on Wildwood Street. Police arrested Timothy Coates, 28, of 42 Columbia Street, Wilmington, on an outstanding warrant.
