Wilmington Police Respond to Two Crashes, Car Fire on Sunday

Wilmington Police and Fire had a busy Sunday, responding to two car accidents, a car fire and a burst water line.


Wilmington Police had a busy Sunday, responding to two car crashes as well as a burst water pipe and car fire.

Officers responded to a minor accident at Clark Street and Middlesex Avenue at around noon, according to the Wilmington Police twitter.

At around 4 p.m., Wilmington Police responded to reports that a car had struck on a pole near 526 Shawsheen Avenue, which you can see a photo of above.

While crews worked to clear the scene, traffic was detoured through Reed Street and Harold Avenue.

Wilmington Fire Department responded to a car fire on I-93 South Sunday afternoon near exit 38. 

Officers also responded to a broken water line on Ella Avenue where water was flowing into street. The Water Department was notified and responded.
