Wilmington Man Pleads Not Guilty to Smuggling Drugs

A Wilmington man with a lengthy criminal record is charged with possession of a Class B drug after allegedly admitting to authorities he smuggled drugs into the Billerica House of Correction by hiding them in his rectum, according to a report from the Lowell Sun. 

David Forster, of 6 Stonehedge Drive in Wilmington, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Lowell District Court to a charge of possession of a Class B drug, according to the Sun.

In July, corrections officers noticed Forster, then a new inmate, wanted to exit his cell for recreation 20 minutes after his cellmate, something authorities say new arrivals do when they want to remove contraband from their rectum, according to the Sun.

Officers subsequently searched Forster, and found a dozen suboxone pills in his sock, according to the Sun.

Forster then admitted to officers he had smuggled the drugs into jail inside his body, according to the Sun.
