Wilmington Man Arrested After Woburn Break-In

Commerce Way construction site was entered by two suspects in the early morning hours.

A Wilmington man is facing breaking and entering charges after an overnight break-in at a Commerce Way construction site. 

At 3:10 a.m.., Isaihas Zachery McCaffrey, 22, of 77 Middlesex Ave. in Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession of a burglarious instrument, trespassing and breaking into a depository.

According to , the Woburn dispatch center received a report of suspicious activity at 34 Commerce Way, the Amgen construction site, in which two men dressed all in black were on the property.

When police arrived, officers pursued one man, dressed all in black, on foot and into the woods, where he was taken to the ground by officers.

McCaffrey refused to tell police who he was with, and the second suspect was not found, despite a search by Woburn, Wilmington and State Police officers.

The 22-year-old Wilmington man was assigned a $2,500 bail amount at his arraignment in Woburn District Court. 

According to police, McCaffrey is known to have three aliases and is currently unemployed. 

Although several items inside two storage containers on the construction site were moved around, police reported nothing was taken. Some copper wire and tools were found near the door, when police stopped McCaffrey and the other suspect. 

Police confiscated two black ski masks, a pair of black gloves, an empty blue sack, bolt cutters and a police scanner tuned to the Woburn Police frequency.
