Power Restored After Outage on Lowell Street

According to police, the outage caused several false fire alarms in the area.


Wilmington Police reported a power outage on Lowell Street Sunday at approximately 7 p.m.. 

Power was restored quickly, before 8 p.m. on Sunday. Reading Municipal Light responded to the scene to investigate the source of the outage.

According to police, the outage caused several false fire alarms in the area and left the traffic signal at the corner of Lowell Street and Woburn Street without power. 

Wilmington Police advised motorists to use caution while driving in the area while power was out.
