Police Make Multiple Drug Arrests in Recent Days

The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Tuesday, Feb. 4, to Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

  • At 7:23 a.m. a motor vehicle crash occurred on Lawrence Street with one car striking a mailbox. A note was left at the resident’s home to contact the station.
  • At 10:55 a.m. police returned to the station with one person under arrest. Krystal Ry-Ann Moran, 18, of 6 Railroad Ave., Apt. 2, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession of Class A drugs.
  • At 12:15 p.m. a tractor-trailer driver drove over a hydrant on Industrial Way. The Water Department responded and noted that the damage was done to a fiberglass marker and the hydrant appears in tact.
  • At 5:03 p.m. a motor vehicle crash with injury occurred on Ballardvale Ave. The Fire Department and State Police responded to the scene. One person was transported to Lawrence General Hospital.
  • At 7:10 p.m. on Evergreen Drive police took one person into custody. Omar Carrasquillo, 33, of 220 Hampshire Street, 3rd Floor, Lawrence, was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin, morphine or opiums.

Wednesday Feb. 5

  • At 12:53 a.m. a Kenwood Ave. caller reported a sedan parked in his driveway blowing the horn. The caller then reported that it is his neighbor and she is at the door. Police filed a report on the incident.
  • At 1:44 p.m. a reporting party said there were footprints leading up to a Dorchester Street home that the caller believes is abandoned. The footprints lead towards an open shed near the home, but police could not determine if anything was taken.
