Police Log: Stolen Signs, B&E and Outstanding Warrants

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, December 7 to Sunday, December 9.

Friday, December 7

1:47 a.m.: Three to four distinct graffiti tags were spotted on the north side of the Advanced Auto Parts building. There were also other tags located on the back of the building that someones appears to have tried to remove.

12:09 p.m.: A caller on Williams Ave. believed a neighborhood cat was stuck in the basement. Police checked the basement and were unable to locate the cat.

2:11 p.m.: Police received a call from a passer by on Central Street who reported loose chickens. Officers were unable to find any chickens at the time.

3:46 p.m.: Walking into the station, a resident reported her son's cell phone was taken during the school day today at Wilmington Middle School.

3:58 p.m.: A Cottage Streety resident reported her neighbor's house is abandoned but it appears someone gained access through a window. Officers checked the house and it does appear access was gained, but no one was in the building.

Saturday, December 8

1:09 p.m.: Police received a 911 hang up call. On callback, a Pouliot Place resident reported an intoxicated female trying to leave the residence. She was transported to Winchester Hospital by the Fire Department.

Sunday, December 9

1:48 a.m.: Following a traffic stop at the intersection of Cross Street and Main Street, police returned with two under arrest. Kelsey J. Lamson, 23, of 6 Hilltop Parkway, Woburn, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Daniel A. Parades, 23, of 980 Main Street Apt. 43, Woburn, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

8:12 a.m.: A Norfolk Ave. caller stated that her neigbors were attempting to give her drugs and wanted drugs in return.

9:03 a.m.: A caller reported a mailbox on her front property, and that a nearby Hathaway Road home is missing a mailbox. Another home reportedly had street signs in her pick up truck. The street signs were indeed left in the truck, and there were broken dishes as well.

11:23 a.m.: On Pouliot Place, a caller reported numerous items stolen from her unlocked vehicle the previous night.

12:41 p.m.: Caller reported an attempted breaking and entering at the new construction on Harold Ave, stating that a screen was cut. Nothing was missing and no access was gained. Police brought the screen back for processing.

6:06 p.m.: At Chili's, a caller reported that an item was thrown from a moving car that shattered her windshield on Aldrich Road. Both parties pulled into the parking lot. A court hearing will be arranged to determine the outcome.
