The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, October 5 to Sunday, October 7.
Friday, October 5
10:21 a.m.: A caller reports a possibly intoxicated man at the intersection of Main and Clark Street. Police located the party by Wilmington House of Pizza, made contact with the mother of the involved man and transported him to Woburn Street.
2:54 p.m.: On Valyn Lane at Salem Street a caller reported that a school bus broke down on the side of the road. The bus company was notified and is aware of the situation. The vehicle was not a hazard and the children were transferred to another bus.
5:30 p.m.: Callers report a tree house fire on Factory Road. Firefighters put out the flames and no injuries were suffered.
Saturday, October 6
8:04 a.m.: A caller reported a road rage incident involving a vehicle that left towards Nichols Street. Officers determined the incident started in Tewksbury when the caller may have pulled in front of the vehicle and he followed her and was yelling at her. The caller did not wish to pursue the matter further.
8:21 a.m.: Equipment was reported stolen from a storage trailer on Middlesex Ave. Five chains were removed from the back of the truck, but no damage was done.
10:08 a.m.: Past larceny was reported at Catchin Rayz on Lowell Street. A North Reading man, 24, was summonsed for shoplifting by asportation greater than $100.
12:41 p.m.: The property owner at Colonial Mall on Lowell Street reported that picketeres from xpedx were filling up the lot, preventing customers from parking. The picketers were advised and moved their vehicles.
5:23 p.m.: An officer was flagged down by a party at TJ Maxx reporting several needles on the ground in the lot. The needles were brought back to the station for disposal.
7:37 p.m.: A caller reported that an iPod touch was stolen from her glove compartment around 9 a.mn. this morning while parked by the Shawsheen School soccer fields. Nothing else was taken and nothing was broken on the vehicle.
Sunday, October 7
3:32 p.m.: On Pilling Road, a landlord called to report that his ex-tenant who was evicted from the location came by unannounced during a new tenant viewing. The landlord was advised to come to the station and file a no trespass order.
