Police Log: Reports of Car Breaks, Damaged Mailboxes and More

The following excerpt is from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Dec. 6

12:54 a.m. A caller reported his vehicle was entered on Pleasant Road, although nothing was taken besides change. His friend reported his vehicle was also entered. Officers checked the area, but did not locate any suspicious vehicles.

2:05 a.m. A resident of Mink Run Road reported their mailbox had been damaged.

8:09 a.m. A caller on Hopkins Street reported sometime overnight her mailbox was damaged as well as several other mailboxes on the street. The responding officer reported nine mailboxes on the street were damaged. A report was filed.

8:38 a.m. Officers responded to reports that two vehicles on Allen Park Drive were entered overnight. There was a small amount of change and sunglasses taken. A report was filed.

10:33 a.m. Police received report that an unlocked vehicle on Pleasant Road was entered overnight and a small amount of change and a car vacuum were taken.
