Police Log: OUI Issues and a Neighbor Flips the Bird

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, February 15, to Saturday, February 16.

Friday, February 15

12:12 p.m.: Police issued a criminal application to an Epping, N.H., man for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failing to stop or yield after a traffic stop on Route 62.

3:33 p.m.: A fraud charge of $11 was reported on a Metro debit card by a caller on High Street.

5:44 p.m.: On Nichols Street, a caller reported an aggressive driver who was tailgating other vehicles and crossing over the yellow line a few times. Officers checked the owner's address but there was no vehicle home at the time.

8:18 p.m.: A caller on Lords Court called police after speaking with his wife, who was at home. The wife stated that the next door neighbor, a 19-year-old male, gave her the finger as she was pulling into the driveway. The caller reported that there is an ongoing harassment and he wanted a report to be made.

8:44 p.m.: MassBay commuter rail reported a disgruntled passenger on board an inbound train from Lowell. He didn't have fare and got in an argument with the conductor.

Saturday, February 16

12:59 a.m.: After a traffic stop on Main Street, Peter T. Whiteman, 43, of 512 Shawsheen Ave., Wilmington, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and failing to drive in the right lane.

10:31 a.m.: Calling from Webber Street, a resident reported that her sister is refusing to let her in the house to pick up her belongings. The caller was being evicted from the residence and the owner did not want the male party on scene.

3:02 p.m.: A Tewksbury man was summonsed on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked for OUI and motor vehicle lights violation.
