Police Log: Girlfriend Allegedly Drives Into Boyfriend During Argument

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Monday, August 5, to Wednesday, August 7.

Monday, August 5

12:11 a.m.: On Burlington Ave., a caller's vehicle was hit with a water balloon while he was driving toward Boutwell. He believes the balloon came from the vehicle in front of him.

9:29 a.m.: A Jefferson Road caller reported that sometime overnight his company truck was vandalized.

3:09 p.m.: On Pouliot Place, a resident believed that his social security number was being used by his father.

6:37 p.m.: Larceny of a grill propane tank was reported on Revere Ave. The caller had brought the tank to the neighbor's before leaving before vacation and it was located.

9:31 p.m.: Security at Analog Devices reported a man with a dark sweatshirt appeared to be having an argument at the guard shack and was banging his head on the company's sign. Officers found a verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend, with the girl's car broken down.

Tuesday, August 6

4:00 a.m.: A Brand Ave. caller reported that his girlfriend just struck him with her vehicle after a verbal argument. He obtained her keys, but she took off running into the woods towards Cumberland Farms. The Fire Department responded to the scene, though police were unable to locate the woman. A 23-year-old North Washing Street resident was summonsed on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and leaving the scene of personal injury.

5:04 p.m.: Police summonsed a 38-year-old Clinton resident for violating a harassment prevention order.

Wednesday, August 7

6:29 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash was reported on Parker Street with the car crashing into a pole. The pole was cracked and moved and the vehicle needed to be towed.
