Police Log: Fourth Time OUI and Drugs to Distribute

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, January 11, to Sunday, January 13.

Friday, January 11

6:51 a.m.: An officer at Woburn Street School was approached by a teacher who stated that while leaving the school last night around 5:30 p.m., she saw a male party walking in the rear of the school.

8:42 a.m.: A female party at Woburn Street School said she was approached by an older white male party while entering her vehicle last night at about 5:30 p.m.

9:26 a.m.: Coming to the station, a Main Street employee reported that on Wednesday, her iPhone 5 was stolen from the back of the shop.

4:08 p.m.: Police received a call from CVS about a group of 25 youths throwing ice and snow at each other in the parking lot. An officer reported that the group of 12 or so middle school aged students were playing on the snow bank. They have departed for the day.

9:50 p.m.: Police arrested Timothy S. Turner, 55, of 14 Greenville Street, Billerica, for operating under the influence of liquor, fourth offense, operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked and marked lanes violation.

Saturday, January 12

11:09 a.m.: Two vehicles on Chandler Road were vandalized overnight.

11:19 a.m.: A North Street resident reported a male party came out of the woods behind the house, walked across their property and walked towards Route 62. The party checked OK and was transported to the train station.

7:38 p.m.: Game Stop employee on Main Street reported numerous prank calls from what sounds like a group of kids to the store, and it is impeding business.

Sunday, January 13

11:38 a.m.: Commuter rail reported they struck a deer and a dog in the area of Salem Street and will send a crew to remove them. They contacted the dogs owner after checking its tags.

8:07 p.m.: Sounds of a fight and a possible gunshot in the area of Waltham Street. Thorough check of the area was completed, and there was nothing out of the ordinary found.

8:22 p.m.: Suspicious activity was noticed in the bus turn around at the high school. Ryan C. Pennie, 20, of 5 Chandler Road, Wilmington, was arrested for possession to distribute Class D drugs and drug violation near a school or park.
