The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, February 22, to Sunday, February 24.
Friday, February 22
10:33 a.m.: On Salem Street at North Intermediate, a caller reported that a tractor trailer took out park of a snow bank that is now in the middle of the road.
7:17 p.m.: A Colonial Park Liquors caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver leaving the area. Police checked, but were unable to locate the party.
Saturday, February 23
1:35 a.m.: Police were out with a vehicle on West Street at Horseshoe Lane for possible drug possession. Victor J. Arocho-Meaux, 26, of 603 Mass Ave., Apt 4, Boston, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and marijuana possession.
10:20 a.m.: A caller on Blanchard Road reported that his driver's side window was smashed sometime overnight.
4:48 p.m.: North Reading Police were notified of a juvenile passenger in a vehicle on Roberts Road who is missing from their town. The party had previously returned home since she was entered into the computer system. The operator and three passengers were given adult seat belt citations.
9:50 p.m.: A party reported a domestic assault on Adelman Road. Richard G. Nicholas, 46, of 9 Longview Road, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
10:38 p.m.: Police received a call from Aldrich Road where a party reported a truck drove off the road onto his driveway and took off on foot. Scot J. Edgerly, 49, of 21 Boutwell Street, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor second offense and leaving the scene of property damage.
Sunday, February 24
4:48 p.m.: Two male parties were at the high school construction site taking pictures. They were advised of the no trespass signs and sent on their way.
5:13 p.m.: Homeowners on Avalon Drive returned home from being on vacation since Friday morning and it appeared their house was broken into.
