Police Log: An OUI Arrest, Theft at Planet Fitness and More

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Wednesday, Jan. 1

2:08 a.m. A Tewksbury resident was arrested for operating under the influence after officers conducted a vehicle stop on Main Street.

Destin A. Davis, 1238 Ames Hill Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violations.

3:06 a.m. An officer was flagged down by a party who was assaulted by a passenger in a vehicle. Lowell K9  and Tewksbury Police also responded. 

A Salem resident was served summons for assault and battery and vandalizing property.

9:14 a.m. A caller on Boutwell St. reported damage to his fence that was done overnight. The responding officer reported four plastic caps were found broken off. 

3:18 p.m. An individual came into the police station to report a $1500 piece of jewelry was stolen from an unlocked locker at Planet Fitness on Middlesex Avenue. A report was filed. 

8:19 p.m. An individual came into the police station to report someone had stolen a canoe from 11 Main St. about three months ago. The canoe was reported as worth approximately $800.  

9:17 p.m. An officer reported a bonfire on the beach on Burnap Street. The fire was extinguished.
