Police Arrest Multiple OUI Drivers, One With Child in the Car

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, April 5, to Sunday, April 6.

Friday, April 5

2:38 a.m.: Following a traffic stop on Main Street, Patrick R. Enwright, 21, of 3 Clorinda Road, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and speeding.

12:39 p.m.: Jewelry was reported missing from a Middlesex Ave. home.

2:25 p.m.: A resident reported a truck had a hydroseeder hooked up to a fire hydrant on Cunningham Street.

3:41 p.m.: Vandalism was reported to a vehicle on Cardinal Court.

5:06 p.m.: A caller reported that a white vehicle struck a neighbor's granite mailbox and took off on Woburn Street. The vehicle should have a smashed front windshield and front end damage. Heavy damage was done to the Crystal Road home and it appeared to be intentional. A 19-year-old Marjorie Road resident was summonsed for leaving the scene of property damage and marked lanes violation.

6:04 p.m.: On Main Street, a vehicle was running unattended in a fire lane with a toddler inside. A female party made arrangements for someone to take control of the vehicle after she was given a breath test and the result was .035. The Department of Children and Families was notified that the incident occurred.

10:41 p.m.: Calling from Houghton Road, a resident stated that someone egged his house about five minutes ago.

Saturday, April 6

8:45 p.m.: At the North Reading town line, an officer was out with a male party standing outside his vehicle. Shawn Laclair, 30, of 88 Mechanic Street Apt. 2, Lebanon, N.H., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and child endangerment while operating under the influence.

Sunday, April 7

1:19 a.m.: A car was reported involved in an accident on Glen Road. The vehicle was called in by Reading Police as operating at a high rate of speed but they were unable to catch the driver. David J. Cafua, 32, of 3 Tacoma Street, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation.

1:53 a.m.: On Salem Street, a caller reported a truck into the woods. Panagiotis Telios, 27, of 8 Iroquois Ave., Andover, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation.
