Gary Donovan Sworn in as Deputy Fire Chief at Friday Ceremony

During a Friday ceremony, Gary Donovan officially became the newest Wilmington Deputy Fire Chief.

The reorganization of the Wilmington Fire Department continued on Friday afternoon.

Gary Donovan, a veteran member of the department, was officially sworn in as the newest Wilmington Deputy Fire Chief during a ceremony on Friday.

Donovan was pinned by his mother after being sworn in by Town Clerk Sharon George in front of family, friends, and department members.

The newest Deputy Chief is second in command behind Fire Chief Rick McClellan, who took over for the retired Ed Bradbury earlier this month.
