Check back with Patch for more details as they're available.

Wilmington firefighters were called to 833 Main Street early Wednesday morning for a fire that was controlled within about one hour.

According to scanner reports, the flames started some time around 1 a.m. inside a small residential building.

At about 2:30 a.m., Wilmington Deputy Fire Chief John Brown told Patch that the fire was "under control," though it is unclear at the time how much damage was caused.

Check back with Wilmington Patch later in the morning for more details as they become available.
