Early Morning Tewksbury Crash Leads to OUI Charge for Wilmington Man

The Wilmington driver allegedly had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle when he struck a tree.

Tewksbury Police arrested a Wilmington man over the weekend after he crashed his car while allegedly driving under the influence.

According to the Tewksbury Police Department log, on Sunday at 4:17 a.m. multiple 911 callers reported a one-car crash on Rogers Street with a vehicle striking a tree.

An ambulance responded to the scene and the driver was transported to a nearby hospital with a police officer on board.

Following the crash, Tewksbury Police arrested Donald W. Gorski, 20, of 96 Nichols Street, Wilmington.

Gorski was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
