How fast were they going to make that kind of damage. I heard witness reports of close top 50.

How do you get up to 50 in that parking lot?

Depress the gas pedal. Causing more fuel and air to enter the cylinders thru the fuel injection nozzles. The energy that creates causes the transmission to turn the drive wheels at a faster pace. Thus causing the car to accelerate. Then when they tried to turn the wheel the car did not respond due to the lack of friction between the tires and the surface of the parking lot. due to the coating of ice.

The parking lot is about 250 ft. from Lowell St to the store. That's a lot of acceleration to get to 50 mph.
