Wilmington Firefighters Assist at Kings Burlington Fire

The bowling alley had been scheduled to open April 28.

A huge fire on Sunday engulfed the Burlington Kings Bowl, which had been scheduled to open in just weeks.

Firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze shortly after 10 p.m. Parts of the structure collapsed, and firefighters were ordered out of the building at one point.

The main body of the fire was knocked down shortly after midnight.

The bowling alley and dining venue, located in the 3rd Ave development, was under construction and scheduled to open April 28. Kings was already getting involved in the community—it was scheduled to host the Burlington High School post-graduation party June 8.

Firefighters from Burlington, Woburn, Lexington, Wilmington, Reading, and Bedford—among other communities—helped fight the blaze.
