Who Should Patch Select as Athlete of the Year?

The last year was a memorable one for Wilmington High School sports teams, and we want to know who the most memorable face of 2011 was for the Wildcats.

With your help, we want to compile some nominations for Athlete of the Year.

There were plenty of teams that made playoff runs since the year started. Wildcats like the boys hockey and boys basketball team earned regular season league titles, and so did the girls soccer team.

Is Dalton Rolli the choice for playing three sports and ? Maybe you think it should be on the hardwood and diamond for the basketball and baseball teams.

Or maybe it should be Holly Niemic, Rachel Grabar or one of the Lady Wildcats who helped the , or a girls basketball team member who helped the squad snag a playoff win over the winter.

Whoever you think should be our Athlete of the Year, we want to hear about it.

One thing is for sure - there are plenty of options. Narrowing down the list is going to be the hardest part.
