Powderpuff in Wilmington?

I was wondering if Powderpuff is allowed in Wilmington this year. My 2 daughters graduated in 2013 and 2011. Both of those years, in an attempt to play against Tewksbury, they were chased off the field by the police. Why would this activity be illegal? I look to other towns that not only allow it but showcase it in the newspaper and advertise it. My oldest daughter's team drove around to Billerica, Reading, Lowell..all looking for fields while the police radioed ahead they were coming...like some wild bandits...and all they wanted to do was play football! The girls want to play, the hundreds of fans want them to play. Has it changed this year? Why is it illegal in this town?

The class of 2002 powder puff game had several fights, so the schools tried to stop the annual game. Ever since then the students have taken control and played their own games.

Well I'm glad girls will get a chance to play.
