Obituary: Frances Dudley, 82, Wilmington Mother of Eight

Frances E. (Dempsey) Dudley, age 82, of Wilmington, died peacefully on March 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.  

Frances was the beloved wife of Robert F. Dudley, devoted mother of Ray Dudley and his wife Randy of Gilmanton, NH, Deborah Harris and her husband Steven of Amesbury, Susan Cooper and her husband Golden of Wichita, KS, Judie Cherry and her husband Chris of Semmes, AL, Mary Downs and her husband Jimmy, Paul Dudley and his wife Penni all of Wilmington, Robert Dudley and his wife Andrea of Biddeford, ME, and Pattiann Graham and her husband Shawn of Windham, NH.

Loving Nana of  Raymond, Caleb, Megan, Christopher, Courtney, Robert, Jennie, Laura, Buddy, Alisha, Joey, Alex, Ashley, Jimmy, Gabriella, Joshua, Lily, and Emma, Great Nana of Khloe, T.J., Kaelyn, Jocelyn, Sailor, and Wynnie, cherished daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Goss) Dempsey, dear sister of the late William Dempsey, Mary Theresa Mann, and Ruth Smolinsky. Frances is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, March 18, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m.  Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations in Frances’ memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA.
