Carole A. Williams, 73

Former employee of the Federal Government Naval Intelligence Department.

Carole A. Williams, age 73, of Wilmington formerly of Saugus and Everett, passed away peacefully on June 26th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Home in Danvers following a yearlong courageous battle with cancer.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd J. Williams. Born in Chelsea she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Edna (Sprague) Dorgan.

Carole was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, class of 1957. As a young lady, Carole worked for the Federal Government Naval Intelligence Department at the Pentagon for several years. 

She also worked for over twenty years as an Administrative Assistant for the telephone company and in more recent years worked alongside with her daughter as a receptionist at Skin Savvy in North Reading. 

Devoted to her family, Carole loved being involved with her children's activities. Together with her daughter she enjoyed working with and caring for horses and preparing them for show competitions. Once the grandchildren came Carole quickly became their number one fan and "Assistant Team Mom" in all of their school and sporting activities.

Second to family was the Boston Red Sox. Carole was passionate about the Red Sox and truly enjoyed following the team in both good and bad times.

Carole is survived by her devoted children, Steven M. Stone of Salem and Jennifer L. Ciampa of Wilmington. She was the loving Nana of Tristen and Tori Ciampa, both of Wilmington. Cherished sister of Edward J. Dorgan Jr. of Everett and is also survived by many more extended family members.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours celebrating Carole's life, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, on Monday, July 1st; from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private.
