St. Thomas Church Hosts Christmas Concert

A variety of musical groups performed last Friday to kick off the Christmas season.

St. Thomas Church was the  site of the annual Christmas concert of the  Catholic  Community of Wilmington and South Tewksbury.

Held on Friday, Dec. 21, this concert was held to help usher in the Christmas  season for Wilmington and South Tewksbury and was free to the public.

This concert presented the talents of the  Children's Youth Choir, the  Adult Choir  and the accapela group Trinity form Nazareth High School in Wakefield. Musical  selections were both traditional Christmas selections as well as a cantata "Behold the Star" performed by the Adult Choir. The choir is directed by Lori Tamagini, pianist was Elizabeth Tousignant, soloists were Robert Ham, Rosanne Ham, Judy Murdock, and Deacon Clifford  King

To bring the Evening to a close, Father Early surrounded by the Children of the  community read Clement Moore's "Night Before Christmas." A special visitor  from the North Pole made a cameo appearance to the thrill of all the kids in the  audience.
