Arlene Ave. Returns to Hospital Bed Racing Glory

During Friday night's annual hospital bed races, a familiar group of faces took home the coveted crown.

They've been there. And now they've done it again.

Arlene Ave. beat the heat and its fellow racers during the annual hospital bed race on Friday night. It was the second time the team has won the championship in the last three years.

For those unfamiliar, the race consists of one rider being pushed on a hospital bed by several teammates. After one trip down the straightaway, the rider hops off and fills a bedpan with "specimen" before jumping back on the bed and getting rolled back to the finish line.

The team that finishes the course first and also has the proper amount of liquid earned the victory for that race. If a team loses two times, they are eliminated.

Arlene Ave. was made up of Jay Kelley, Mike Foley, Melodie Fox, Bill Fox and Sean Hogan flew to an unblemished mark to beat Local Heroes and the Women of Wilmington to return to glory.
