Friday is movie night at Wilmington Memorial Library.

"Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1. The week closes with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. According to Weather.com, temperatures will climb up to 82° on Friday as the weekend arrives. As they've been throughout the week, skies will be mainly sunny and there is a zero percent chance of rain.

2. Just one Wildcat sports team is at home on Friday. The girls volleyball team hosts Stoneham beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the JV game taking place at 4 p.m. The football team hopes to bounce back from its , traveling to Waltham for a 7 p.m. kick off.

3. You don't have to pay big bucks to take in a movie on Friday night. Bring the family to watch Pirates Band of Misfits at .  Popcorn and lemonade will be served during the PG-rated film. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and there will be no entry after 7 p.m. The library is closed for normal business during the movie.

4. This weekend you can support a local family in need. , and on Saturday at 9 a.m. there's an event to raise money for him and his family. The annual whiffle ball tournament takes place on Saturday and the proceeds will go to the Murphys.
