A library event and two meetings are among Thursday's happenings.

1. The snow moved out and some sunshine will move in today. According to Weather.com, temperatures will settle in around 41° on Thursday with the weekend just around the corner. Sunshine in the morning will be followed by mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon hours. There is a zero percent chance of rain on the day.

2. A duo of boards are in action today in town. The Elderly Services Commission meets at 1:30 p.m. inside Buzzell Senior Center. Then at 5 p.m., the Water and Sewer Commission is on the docket with a session inside Room 9.

3. You can secure your financial future on Thursday night. Martin R. Gredinger CPA, CFP will share some financial planning tips and ideas that everyone can put to use during an event at Wilmington Memorial Library beginning at 7 p.m. Topics will include cash management, budgeting, long term care insurance and taxes.

4. It's an off day in Wildcat country. All Wilmington teams have Thursday off. The basketball teams return to the court on Friday night.
