Ba-Rock and Roll

The impact that money has upon the debates.

This is class warfare. It is always “about the Benjamins.”
In the United States, we do not often battle with guns and tear gas to control
the masses. The battle utilizes the Internet and the television. Investors like
Warren Buffet stand up to pay their fair share of taxes, while believers in
trickle-down economics listen to the ways of Bain Capital.

Debate #1 was tough to watch. Barack seemed disappointed to have to be on the same stage with Richie Rich.

Debate #2 was more of a slugfest of facts versus sales pitches. It was not a total slam dunk for the president because the governor knows how to shovel it (he must still have the shovel from the Big Dig). Romney has always been extremely far behind in the Massachusetts polls, because few people in Mass were impressed with him.

At the third debate, Romney sweated when caught between Barack and a hard place. He cannot even see Russia from his yacht. After seeing all the countries flags at the Olympics opening ceremony, the chameleon did not appear worldly, because he is only self-centered upon the wealthy. “We have these things called aircraft carriers.” Romney was hopefully cornered and dismantled by the capabilities of someone who cares.

You're kidding, right Bill? Humor? Because tho we disagree on many things, you don't appear to be stupid. Our tax rules are rife with deals for those with lots of resources, many that Romney has used are called "abusive" by the IRS. It's time to address this. It's also time to drop Bush's tax cuts for those who are just sitting on their money instead of investing in America. The cuts were meant to put more money back into the economic engine... Instead you and I used ours.. And the super rich sent theirs to tax havens. This is what economists are telling us, this is what our President is telling us...

You are changing the subject Jan. I agree that the tax code is unfair and some have abused it. But that's not what Mr Brown wrote about, is it ? He specifically championed Warren Buffet and his like who are begging to pay more taxes, yet when they have opportunity to do so, they don't. That's what I commented on. Hypocrisy is not humorous to me.

"tax evasion"? Romney did not commit tax evasion. That is illegal and he would be arrested. "Tax avoidance" is legal and is done by everyone that takes any deductions. As for rich people paying more, we have fine examples of rich people just to the south of NH saying one thing and doing another. In MA, one can pay at the original rate of 5.85% or the newer rate of 5.3%. John Kerry (D-MA) paid the 5.3%. Elizabeth Warren (Democrat candidate) paid 5.3%. Overall, 99.96% of MA taxpayers pay the lower rate.

Even though most people will not pay their "fair share" unless it becomes law, I still support the wealthy that want to make it the law.

Buffet doesn't want to pay more while others at his level continue to game the system. He and others want to return to a more fair system.
