Reading Co-operative Bank sponsors David K. Johnson Foundation’s event

May 5, READING, Mass – Reading Co-operative Bank donated $2,500 to the David K. Johnson Foundation, whose mission is to promote awareness and provide support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The donation was use by the Foundation to host, “Aging Parents: Navigating the Journey,” an informative and entertaining panel discussion hosted by author Janet Simpson Benvenuti, Don't Give Up on Me! Supporting Aging Parents Successfully; Stephen J. Spano, Elder Law Attorney at Spano & Dawicki; and Jacqui Carson, CEO of Sanborn Place Home Care & Day Services. 

The DKJ Foundation was started by Bruce and Greg Johnson in 2001, soon after their father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 60. Their mission is to raise money and awareness to cure Alzheimer’s and support families affected by the disease by providing resources and guidance throughout their journey. All money raised by the David K. Johnson Foundation is donated to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Sanborn Place Home Care & Day Services and the David and Susan Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
