Wilmington's Honey Dew Donuts Shows Support for Market Basket Employees

Company issued a statement to employees on its Facebook page Monday afternoon.

One local business is showing its support for Market Basket employees in their efforts to bring back ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas.

Owners of Honey Dew Donuts in Wilmington put a message on the business' Facebook page Monday afternoon offering discounts to employees who have lost their job in the Market Basket fight, as well as for those who will see their hours diminished as they continue pushing their cause.

Below is the text of that message to Market Basket employees:


Dear Market Basket Employees, 

Honey Dew Donuts in Wilmington would like to support you in your efforts. I am aware that many of you have lost your Job and others will see hours diminished so we at Honey Dew Wilmington (337 Main St) would like to offer you a Medium Hot or Iced Coffee for $.99 as well as an Egg and Cheese Wrap for $.99 for the rest of the month and all of August. Just present your Market Basket Badge to receive this benefit. I am a second generation customer to Market Basket and understand that many of you have not only served me but also my parents.
