Wilmington Business Closes Its Doors on Friday

Wilmington residents who enjoy a hot slice of pizza or a plate of wings from should place their orders by Friday. That’s when the business closes its doors for the time being, with no re-opening date or location on the immediate horizon.

Joe Prezioso, owner of the local restaurant, said he is planning on relocating his business but he has not executed a new lease yet and is still seeking the perfect location.

“I really don’t know yet when people can expect to see us again,” said Prezioso. “Dealing with new commercial leases is time consuming, and unfortunately it doesn’t move at a faster pace.”

The owner’s suggestion to customers is to come in during the final days at the current location. There is a sign up sheet on the counter for patrons to leave their e-mail address so that as soon as there is a new development, they’ll be among the first to know.

Prezioso also owns at 211 Main Street, and he said that business will remain open.

Kendra and Anthony’s has been open since 2008. According to Prezioso, it’s been an ideal location to serve the Wilmington community from.

“It’s been great. We’ve gotten great feedback and new customers every day, along with repeat customers always coming back,” said Prizioso. “It’s a great place to live, a great town, and a great place to run a business.”

Since he announced that Friday will be his last day running Kendra and Anthony’s as it currently exists, Prezioso said he has been dealing with a long list of stunned customers.

“I’ve been having to pcik up a lot of jaws up off the floor,” said Pirzioso. “They’re surprised and disappointed because they’ve enjoyed my products. They’re sorry to see me go, but also wishing me luck. But we’re looking to be back bigger and better. That’s what I’m going for.”
