will soon have a new owner and a new name. After closing its doors for at least one month, the Wilmington Chinese restaurant will have a new look as well.
During Monday night’s , Victor Hui, the president of Pacific Sunshine, requested a transfer of the all-liquor license for the business that is currently known as Royal Dynasty.
After clarifying that the business’ address is actually 211 E. Lowell Street and not 217 Lowell Street as listed on its application, selectmen granted the request that is the final step in completing the purchase and sale agreement of the Chinese restaurant.
Hui and his attorney told board members that they plan to rename the restaurant Pacific Grove, and they also plan to make renovations and do some cleaning of the building.
The capacity of Pacific Grove along with the parking and hours of the business will remain the same as they were when it was run as Royal Dynasty.
In addition to becoming the owner of the Wilmington restaurant, Hui also runs .
Hui said once the purchase of the E. Lowell Street business is completed, he will close down for between one and two months. While the restaurant is closed, Hui plans to renovate the shape of the bar and also install a sushi bar in addition to cleaning the facility.
“We’d like to have it be a more friendly for people to go there and spend money,” said Hui. “So we want to make it a more attractive and comfortable environment for the customer.”
