Red Heat Tavern Opening Just Around the Corner
The restaurant remains on track for a spring opening as construction continues.
Progress at the site of Wilmington's newest restaurant is evident as the Red Heat Tavern appears on track for a spring opening.
As of last week, crews remained at 300 Lowell Street putting finishing touches on the restaurant, which is being constructed by the owners of Burtons Grill.
On the Burtons Grill website, there are still several employment positions available. According to the site, the company is hiring front of house positions and back of house positions, with training starting on March 17.
When requesting their liquor license in front of the Board of Selectmen, representatives said they were eyeing a March opening. It's not clear if that remains the case, but the Red Heat Tavern website says the restaurant will be opening in spring 2014.
