LIVE UPDATES: Market Basket Employees Rally Friday, Board of Directors to Also Meet

Supermarket's board of directors meeting at 9 a.m. in Boston Friday morning.

Market Basket employees are vowing to make today's rally their biggest one yet.

Scheduled to begin at 9 a.m at the same location where they gathered on Monday (the Tewksbury store at 10 Main St.) Market Basket employees have not slowed down on their promise to rally and boycott the 71-store chain all in an effort to bring back their beloved ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas. And they say they will do so until Arthur T. is reinstated.

Thousands are once again expected at Friday's rally.

Arthur T. issued a statement Wednesday saying he and other members of his side of the family want to buy the chain and made an offer to purchase the other 50.5 percent share of the company.

Several other chains have also made offers to take control of the company, WCVB-TV, Channel 5 Boston is reporting

The supermarket chain's board of directors is also meeting Friday morning at 9 a.m. in Boston.

Whether this was a regularly scheduled meeting or has been set in light of the current situation is unknown. What we do know is they were originally scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. on Friday, but the time was changed to 9 a.m. after Arthur T. made the bid to buy the other half of the company.

The Boston Globe is reporting Arthur T's bid is expected to be a primary topic at today's meeting.
