Kings Burlington Construction Underway to Rebuild after April Fire
Owners rebuilding facility destroyed by a two-alarm fire weeks before scheduled April 28 opening.
Construction is underway to rebuild the Kings Burlington location which was destroyed by fire two weeks before its scheduled opening in April.
The bowling alley and dining venue, located in the 3rd Ave development, was under construction and scheduled to open April 28, when a two-alarm fire engulfed the building on April 13. The fire heavily damaged the structure and parts of it collapsed forcing owners to completely rebuild the structure.
It took firefighters from Burlington and a half-dozen surrounding communities about two hours to bring the blaze under control
On Friday, steel beams went up as part of the reconstruction.
Kings owners vowed to rebuild the day after the fire. It was hiring nearly 200 staff and owners worked to find placement for those employees following the fire.
There's no word yet on when construction will be complete.
