Is the Wilmington Honey Dew Donuts Closed For Good?

Honey Dew Donuts in Wilmington is closed, but it remains unclear whether the coffee and donut chain could reopen in town.

Only months after the coffee and donut chain opened the doors to their Main Street location in Wilmington, a "For Lease" sign hangs above the front entrance of the store.

Honey Dew Donuts has confirmed the location is closed, but it remains unclear whether or not the company will reopen in Wilmington.

In an email to Wilmington Patch, representatives for Honey Dew Donuts said they "hope to have the Wilmington location open again soon."

Honey Dew did not provide information concerning whether they would reopen at the same 337 Main St. location.

While the reason for the closing remains unclear, franchisee of the Wilmington location Raffi Keikian tweeted the following message on the closing of Honey Dew Donuts:

"Honey dew donuts in Wilmington will be closed for good."

Keikian followed up with another tweet:

"To all investors and entrepreneurs stay away from Honey Dew Donuts franchise I'm speaking from experience I was franchisee."
