Liquor License Approved for Ginger Gourmet in North Reading
Management from the Ginger Gourmet Restaurant attended the Board of Selectmen meeting Monday night, for the second time, to have their liquor license approved. The board voted unanimously to approve the license.
The Asian restaurant, Ginger Gourmet, will be opening at 265 Main St. in lot #10. According to Manager Mark Zeng, therestaurant is going to be a first class, fine dining Asian restaurant with Chinese and Japanese food.
New Owner to Take Over Restaurant and Function Facility at Thomson Country Club
Owner of Teresa's Italian Eatery in Middleton, Nick Yebba, Sr., is taking over the restaurant and function facility at the Thomson Country Club. The transfer of the liquor license was approved at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting, and Yebba plans to make some major changes to the club.
Yebba is "seeking to maintain the same level of service” that the club had before, according to his attorney. He will transform the restaurant into a steak house called Theresa’s Prime, which Yebba referred to as a "high end, moderately pricedrestaurant."
Sauce at Andolini's the Place for Burgers, Wings, Ribs and Fries
A true football fan, Spiro Pappadopoulos, of the family-owned was inspired to open a burger and wings place in Andover after hosting a Super Bowl party last winter.
“A friend of mine from Boston wanted wings, and I told him there wasn’t anywhere in Andover to get them,” he explained.
Salvatore's to Open in Early November
Salvatore's Restaraunt received both their liquor license and common victuallers license from the Board of Selectmen and Peter Ackerman, who will be the manager of the restaurant, told the board that they hope to open within the first two weeks of November.
The restaurant will located in the former Rugged Bear location at 34 Park St. The Andover location will be the fifth Salvatore'sRestaurant to open in the Boston area. Salvatore's operates establishments in Boston's Theatre District, Boston's Waterfront, Medford Square and Lawrence.
Cravings Travels Back In Time
Try taking an ice cream parlor and literally moving it across the street.
That's what Rick Campbell, the owner of Cravings since March 15, 1993, of Salem, N.H., did when he relocated his existing business into a vintage ice cream parlor, with the look of the 1920s after the original owner died from 400 Main St. to 389 Main St. Now called Creations, 400 Main St. sells organic lunch and smoothies.
Gingerbread Construction Company Involved In the Community
Local grocery store bakeries are probably the most inexpensive choice. But if gourmet pastries are what you're looking for, The Gingerbread Construction Company, at 52 Main St., isn't a bad gig, either.
Nineteen varieties of the store's muffins have been recognized by the Phantom Gourmet and have won other awards. Phantom Gourmet loves the Strawberry Shortcake, but Blueberry is the most popular with customers, which haven't stopped coming in since the Wakefield location opened in 1995.
