What Are Wilmington's Most Dangerous Intersections?

A recent report released the most dangerous intersections in the state and region.

Where are the most dangerous intersections in town?
Where are the most dangerous intersections in town?

A recent study listed the most dangerous intersections in Massachusetts and New England, and while no Wilmington intersections made the list it got us wondering. Where do you think the most dangerous spot is in town?

The intersection of Mystic Avenue and the Fellsway in Somerville was ranked as the “most dangerous” intersection in the state and the third most dangerous one in New England in a recent study by GoLocal Worcester, an online publication.

Also among the most dangerous was Bridge St. and Veterans of Foreign Wars Highway, along with Veterans of Foreign Wars Highway and Varnum Ave., both Lowell intersections.

The site’s methodology looked at total number of accidents, fatalities, injuries and property-damage-only crashes at each intersection.

Looking at just Wilmington, what do you find to be the most dangerous intersection? Is there a road you avoid because it's too dangerous? Let us know in the comments section below.

The intersection of Rt. 62 and Clark St. In order to pull out on to Rt. 62 from Clark St. you have to pull way out in order to see passed the huge tree that blocks the view of the oncoming cars.

The one I have the most problems with is the off ramp from 93 S onto 129. Taking a left onto 129 has caused enough stress (and close calls) for me that I now take back roads to and from work. It's not just that it's slow to get to take the left, actually taking the left can be hairy at times.

I am referring to intersection at the Harden Tavern. Trucks and cars go thru red lights all the time.

I agree with Woburn St and Eames St. Very dangerous! Can never take a left from Eames to Woburn because you cannot see and have to go way out in the middle of the intersection. Someone taking a left on to Eames always cuts the corner hs they almost hit you because they don't care. The property owner there made it worse by putting up a fence. It is 100% blocked!

@Dan Buyer..I agree with your comment. That road is 2 lanes that merge...@Marliana needs to understand that. If she chooses to stay in the right lane, she needs to merge with the other lane. That lane should not be left only or the light cycle will be even longer than it is!
