The Coywolf of Wilmington? You Be the Judge
An Aldrich Road resident sent in the photo below of a coywolf in his backyard.
Wilmington resident Mark Holleran sent in the above photo taken behind his Aldrich Road residence last week, depicting what seems to be a wolf.
This observation appears to be only half true-- Holleran captured a photo of a Coywolf.
Holleran said at first he was not sure whether his camera captured a wolf or coyote so he took the photo to Wolf Hollow in Ipswich.
Staff members at Wolf Hollow told Holleran they believe it was a coywolf behind his home based on the photograph.
A coywolf is a canid hybrid of a wolf and coyote.
Wolf Hollow is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about the importance of wolves in the wild.
