Camp Opens in Wilmington for Boston Bruins Prospects

Prospects and draft picks hit the ice for the first day of this year's camp at Ristuccia Arena on Wednesday.

Boston Bruins prospects and recent draft picks hit the ice on Wednesday at Ristuccia Arena for the first day of the team's annual development camp.

Development camp allows the team to work with its college draft picks and minor league skaters, with players eligible to play professionally hoping to draw the attention of coaches and earn an invitation to training camp in the fall.

Players will be on hand in Wilmington for the rest of the week as they learn on and off the ice and participate in community events in the area.

The Bruins' practice schedule for the week is as follows:

  • Thursday, July 10 - on-ice practice at 11 a.m.
  • Friday, July 11 - on-ice practice at 10 a.m.
  • Saturday, July 12 - on-ice practice at 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 13 - on-ice practice at 10 a.m.
Practices at Ristuccia Arena are open to the public, as are regular season practices. There is no cost to attend.
