Boys Hockey Team Prepares for Postseason in Style

Wildcat players headed to Salon Laura Michaels for their annual hair dying adventure.

It's a tradition that's work for the last two seasons. So for a third straight playoff run, the Wilmington boys hockey team hopes that blondes do have more fun.

Each postseason, Wildcat players dye their hair blonde as a sign of team unity, and this week they did the same in advance of their Division 1 playoff opener against Matignon.

Reading's Salon Laura Michaels took care of that task recently, and posted the photos to prove it. Click through the shots of the dying session from the salon's Facebook page above.

Wilmington was scheduled to face Matignon on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Watertown. The Wildcats won the last two Division 2 state championships, but are playing in Division 1 this year.

A win against Matignon would put the locals into the quarterfinals against Medford or Acton-Boxborough.
