Wilmington Rotary Club Annual Auction

Planning is well under way for the Wilmington Rotary Club's Annual Auction.  This year's auction hopes to be the biggest yet.  However, to accomplish this goal, the Club needs your help.  You can help in several ways, first, by donating an item, product, gift certificate, or service to be auctioned.  Second, by advertising in our insert in the Wilmington Town Crier, which comes out a week before the auction and is seen by more than 6,000 residents.  Third, by purchasing a raffle ticked to our $10,000 raffle.  The first prize is $10,000, there are two second prizes of $1,000 each, two third prizes of $500, and four fourth prizes of $250.  Only 350 tickets are sold, so get your tickets soon before we sell out.

The event is free to attend, and there will be a free buffet, as well as a cash bar.  Doors open at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, and the auction begins at 7:00 P.M.

Monies raised go to various Wilmington Rotary Club projects and charities.  The Club, through the Rotary Club of Wilmington Scholarship Trust, awards scholarships to residents of Wilmington who are high school seniors going on to higher education.  Some of the projects that the Club also sponsors are Little League teams, food baskets to the elderly, contributing towards the Christmas Project, improvements to Rotary Park, as well as one or two international projects each year.
