Barnes & Noble supports Dear Soldier Letter Writing Campaign

On this coming Veterans Day weekend, November 9, 10 & 11, the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Burlington will be holding a Book Fair in support of the Dear Soldier Letter Writing Campaign by the iPods For Wounded Veterans organization. Dear Soldier letter writing began at the Woburn Street School in Wilmington and has broadened to many area schools, providing an opportunity for students to write letters to our troops. This is an opportunity for students and parents alike to honor our injured veterans in military hospitals by writing a letter to show your appreciation and to wish them well. Come to the Dear Soldier table between 9 AM and 6 PM each day. All letters will be personally delivered in December to the severely injured veterans at the Walter Reed and Fort Belvoir military hospitals by volunteers of iPods For Wounded Veterans. When you write a letter at the Dear Soldier table, an iPods For Wounded Veterans volunteer will give you a coupon with an ID number on it. When you make a purchase using this coupon and ID number, 10% of the purchase amount will be donated to iPods For Wounded Veterans. You can also make an online purchase using the Book Fair ID number 11216496, and the same donation will be made. Go to the website at www.BN.com . The Barnes & Noble bookstore is located at 98 Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington.
