Wilmington High School seniors were in a festive mood on Friday night, celebrating prom in style with Promenade at Wilmington Middle School before loading into their cars and limos and heading to Danversport Yacht Club. Normally inside Wilmington Memorial Library, you can hear a pin drop. But on Wednesday night, music filled the air. Not many companies would celebrate when a piece of equipment they spent many hours of hard work building comes back to them completely destroyed. That's just one of the ways iRobot is unique. Steve Barletta, a senior mechanical engineer at the Bedford-based company, came to Wilmington Memorial Library and showed a variety of ways his company's robots are used. He showed a photograph of a completely unworkable robot that had been sent back after it was used to detonate many explosives for the military. He said iRobot workers clapped when the machine came back, because they know it's better to …

Yes, karate students learn how to perform punches and kicks. But more importantly, they learn methods of not needing to use them. On Monday, representatives from The Academy of Traditional Karate visited classrooms in North and West Intermediate Schools as a part of Kindness Week. Inside a classroom filled with students from Mrs. Pizzotti, Miss Downing and Miss Lamont's classes, Sensei Anthony Alessandro spoke about ways to avoid bullies and the difficult situations accompanied by them. Alessandro stressed methods such as using humor and walking away, and also showed students blocks to use in…

Thousands of fans packed Doucette Field on Thursday as Wilmington High and Tewksbury High renewed a rivalry that dates back to the Great Depression. It was a classic battle that had fans on the edge of their seats until the final minute. The 28-21 Tewksbury victory was a game to remember. Patch Editor Bill Gilman was on …
