The Learning Experience hoped to send the paper snowflake donations it received to the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School, but instead decorated the inside of its childcare facility.

Wilmington residents wanted to do their part in showing support for the town of Newtown, Conn., and they accomplished that. The only problem, however, is that the entire country has done its part as well.

The Learning Experience coordinated a snowflake and paper heart drive, hoping to send the creations to Sandy Hook Elementary School to make the students feel back at home.

But the response was so overwhelming, the town asked for a hault to donations.

So instead, The Learning Experience decorated the entrance to their childcare facility on Main Street with the snowflakes in an effort to show continued support for Newtown.
