Wilmington Candidates Invited To Submit Candidate Statements/Profiles

Wilmington Patch is also accepting endorsement letters to the editor.

Candidates for office in the April 30 Wilmington Municipal Election are invited to submit "Candidate Statements" for publication. These can be any length and provide voters with background, priorities and positions of the candidate.

Candidates are also invited to utilize "Loval Voices", the Wilmington Patch Blogging platform, to blog as often as they would like on whatever topics they desire throughout the campaign. It's a great way to get views out to the public.

Similarly, supporters of candidates can use "Local Voices" to espouse the virtues of the person they support.

Supporters of candidates are also invited to submit Letters To The Editor, endorsing the candidate of their choice. Letters will be published on a first come, first basis. All letters will be published no later than April 29.

Wilmington Patch will be participating in and providing coverage of the WCTV Candidates Forum on April 9. We will also be tackling certain town issues and offering the candidates a chance to share their views on those issues.

If you have any questions or concerns about the Wilmington Patch Election coverage, please feel free to contact Editor Bill Gilman at 978-413-8265 or by e-mail at williamg@patch.com

I would encourage all tax payers and voters to take a look at their tax bills that have arrived. Take a close look at the tax RATES and how they keep going up astronomically. Out of control town officials with NO leadership ability and no vision for controlling costs or supplementing income with creative ideas are directly responsible for this. The current selectmen must go. The Town of Wilmington is not their own private enterprise. GET RID OF THEM THIS ELECTION!

Kevin, you can't win. Taxpayers in this state continually vote the way of increased taxes. They apparently love to pay them. I don't understand it, but that's the way it is in Massachusetts.
