Wilmington High School Grieving Death of Senior Student

Principal Eric Tracy confirmed that senior Joseph Murphy passed away over the long weekend.

 

Wilmington High School students and faculty are grieving the loss of a student who died over the long weekend.

Principal Eric Tracy confirmed Tuesday morning that senior Joseph Murphy died, and that the school will be do anything it can to help students grieve.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and classmates of one of our own, Wilmington High School senior Joseph Murphy," said Tracy in an e-mail to Patch. "This is a difficult time for the Wilmington High family."

According to Tracy, counselors and support will be available on Tuesday and in the upcoming days for any student in need.

In addition, any parents who may need assistance can contact the school's guidance department by calling (978) 694-6068.
