What's Open (and Closed) on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Not everything is closed for the holidays.
Ready or not Christmas is here, and many businesses will be operating under special hours for Christmas Eve and Day.
Many businesses plan to close early for Christmas Eve and most will be closed on Christmas Day. However, there are some exceptions.
For example, China Wok, Golden Ginger, and Royal Dynasty will all be open Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day. China Wok and Golden Ginger both indicated that they will be opening a little early on Christmas Eve to allow customers to place their orders earlier. Kevin Ke of Golden Ginger anticipates being busy on Christmas Eve and noted that "everybody will be working."
Due to observance of Christmas on Dec. 24, Town Hall will be closed all day. Trash and recycling collections, however, will still be picked up as scheduled on Friday. Mail will be delivered as regularly scheduled, although the post office lobby will only be open until noon.
The Commuter Rail Haverhill and Lowell lines will be operating on a normal Friday schedule for Christmas Eve and then operating on a Sunday schedule for Christmas Day.
Most 24-hour establishments will be maintaining their normal hours with the exception of Dunkin Donuts.
